What is Radon?

Radon is an invisible gas formed in the Earth’s crust. Radon is colorless and odorless.
It surrounds every one of us as part of the air we breathe.

What Radon Does to Our Health:

When radon decays, it releases radioactive particles that can be

harmful to our lungs. In fact, radon is the leading cause of lung cancer for non-smokers in the US and, according to recent research, contributes to skin cancer.

Newborns/children are more susceptible to radon exposure due to
their lung shape and size.
Radon is also proven to be harmful to pets.

One out of three homes have high radon levels.

How Radon Enters a Building

Air pressure differences between a building and the soil around its foundation create a vacuum and draw radon through cracks in the foundation, pipe fittings, shower, sump pump and windows.
